We Here, a single off Yancey Boys, the newest LP from Illa J., the late, great Jay Dee's younger sibling, knocks with many of the same nostalgic musical touches that Dilla based his famous sound around. Illa croons more than Dilla and while his stage name is in clear homage to his brother, Illa has set his own sonic bar. The album includes guest spots by Guilty Simpson, Affion Crockett and Debi Nova.
