So Much Ish

Rae and I have been busy busy fly girls. Out and about at all the home slice's shows and serving up helping of seconds at our own Apple Juice Crew concoctions.

Here's the dish-by-dish of last week.

Every Thursday, our Kid Shilo gets squishy and old school sharing deck time with Portland's DJ Sneakers at Aura. The million-dollar club and big boy lounge boasts micro-suede barstools and gorgeous playboy booths, among other niceties.

Grey and rain provided a typical spring day backdrop for World War None, the Portland peace rally and benefit showcase of the talented and revolutionary.

Rae performed with Barry Hampton and The Triple Grip and alongside Syndel of Siren's Echo. Mic Crenshaw roused the crowd with urgent words and Miss Deena Barnwell rocked the tables behind an appropriately-placed New Amerykah cover.

Ib "Yadadamean" "The Egyptian Lover" "Tronny Appleseed" Rahim had a birthday. He loves Superman.

Our delicious, deminutive Da'rel Jr. began hosting a monthly open emcee mic night at Backspace Cafe in Chinatown. Much of the fam showed up to rock, including Wonder Brown, Theory Hazit, Commenter-e, Rae, DJs Kid Shilo and Jyant and Mr. Old School himself, emcee Kaybee who not only was adorable and amiable but bounced around the stage and entire coffee shop breaking out randomly-inspired Cabbage Patches and Two-Steps.
